The following physicians have joined the medical staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene: Dr. Sarah Coleman is a specialist with Eugene Emergency Physicians in practice at Sacred Heart's emergency department. She completed her residency at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland in June 2002. Dr. Daniel Fitzpatrick is an orthopedic surgeon with the Springfield office of Orthopedic HealthCare Northwest. He completed his residency in June 2002 at the University of Iowa hospitals and clinics. Dr. Gavin Roth is an anesthesiologist with Anesthesia Service of Eugene. He completed his residency at the University of Virginia in June 2002. Dr. Keith Balderston is a specialist with the Center for Genetics & Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Eugene. He served his obstetrician/gynecology residency at Oregon Health & Science University and a perinatology fellowship at Long Beach Memorial Women's Hospital. For the last several years, Balderston has been affiliated with OHSU, Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, Legacy Health System and the Perinatal Center at Doernbecher in Portland.

Charles Ward has been admitted as a partner with Zirkle Long & Trigueiro CPAs in Eugene. With 25 years of experience in public accounting, he will provide audit, tax and consulting services to financial institutions, construction contractors and manufacturers.

Wilson-Heirgood Associates has received the Allied Member of the Year award from the Oregon Trucking Association.

Winn Wendell, Junction City councilor and Lane Council of Governments board chair, has been elected to the National Association of Regional Councils board of directors representing the regional councils of Oregon and Washington. NARC represents the interests of regional councils and metropolitan planning organizations with the federal government and the states.

Carol Hartley has purchased The Clothes Horse, a women's resale boutique located at 720 E. 13th Ave., Eugene. The store will continue to provide resale clothing as well as jewelry designed by local artists. Also, Jane Ann Porter, previous owner of BasketCase Gifts, will manage the store.
