Examples of non-profit organizations are charities, hospitals and schools.
. The bank's contribution to this year's United Way campaign was a 55 percent increase over last year's campaign, which raised more than $6,714.

"Our contribution to United Way is a reflection of the caring, community-minded employees we have working at Business Bank," said Larry Charlton, executive vice president and chief financial/operations officer of the bank, and member of the United Way Board of Directors. , Opportunity Village or the other nonprofit groups we support, our employees are always there for us and the communities we serve."

Charlton added that perhaps the most impressive part of this year's campaign contribution to United Way was that the amount of money the bank was able to raise came from such a small employee base. Business Bank only has 55 employees in southern Nevada, and when you divide that number by the bank's campaign contribution of $10,401, it represents about $182 per employee.

"We couldn't be more pleased with Business Bank's contribution and generous support from both the bank and its employees," said Jim Kropid, executive director for United Way of Southern Nevada. "It's this kind of leadership and commitment displayed by Business Bank to our community that we would like to see from all of the companies doing business in our market area. With increased support from caring companies like Business Bank, we could fund a lot more agencies and programs, which ultimately would help a greater number of families and individuals who desperately need a helping hand with the challenges of life."

Business Bank's Charlton has served on United Way's Board of Directors for the past five years, and has been a member of the organization's executive board for three years. He also serves on the organization's agency allocations committee, which determines the amount of money accredited accredited
