Business Bank of Nevada Hires Longtime Nevada Banker as Its New Compliance Manager.

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 23, 2001

Business Bank of Nevada today announced that it has hired longtime Nevada banker George Burns Noun 1. George Burns - United States comedian and film actor (1896-1996)

 as senior vice president and manager of its Compliance department.

Burns joins Business Bank with more than 20 years of banking experience and becomes a member of the bank's senior management team.

As head of Business Bank's Compliance department, Burns will be responsible for bank-wide compliance programs and supporting internal control through research, development, implementation and maintenance of policy and procedure.

He will also be responsible for quality control, audit monitoring and training systems to ensure that the bank is in compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as maintaining operational and audit integrity.

Prior to joining Business Bank, Burns worked for Community Bank of Nevada for nearly two years as vice president and manager of Compliance and Internal Control Support. He has also worked for Comstock Bank in Reno, Nev., from 1997 to 1999 as manager of Retail Banking and Central Operations, and manager of Compliance and Internal Control Support.

Burns is a member of several professional associations which include the Nevada Bankers Association, the Bank Administration Institute, the American Institute of Banking and the National Retirement Plans Training Conference.

A native of southern California, Burns moved to Nevada in 1979 and began his career in banking in the South Lake Tahoe area of the state. He is married and has one daughter.
