"We have partnered with some wonderful nonprofit organizations that do a tremendous amount of good in the communities we serve," said Business Bank President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  John Guedry. "Building better communities is what we're attempting to do both from a business standpoint as well as a philanthropic one. Developing strong public-private partnerships can help achieve those goals, and we're extremely proud of the community partnerships we've established over the last few years."

Guedry added that he attributes a lot of the bank's success to its philanthropic outreach. "There is a very real and tangible return on the investment we make in the area of charitable giving, and while this is not the primary reason why we give, it does make good business sense to include philanthropy in your company's overall business plan."

Business Bank's charitable giving is very strategic in its approach. The bank contributes financial assistance to nonprofit institutions and organizations that enhance the quality of life and promote public interest where the company conducts its business. The four main areas of the bank's giving include education, health and human services Noun 1. , community development, and arts and culture. The bank's funding guidelines also states that the bank must have an affiliation with the nonprofit group through board membership or volunteer support before it will consider the organization for a donation.

The bank anticipates donating in excess of $25,000 this year in monetary, in-kind support and volunteer services to qualified nonprofit organizations in its market areas. The bank's overall giving generally falls between 1 and 2 percent of its after-tax profits, which is in line with the national average of what companies set aside for their charitable donation budget.
