:BBNV BBNV Business Bank of Nevada ) today announced the appointment of three new executive officers.

Laurie Burk has joined Business Bank of Nevada as senior vice president of operations and human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. . Burk will manage operations for Business Bank of Nevada's four branches throughout the state as well as more than 60 employees.

Prior to joining Business Bank of Nevada, Burk held various positions with Bank of America

 for more than 40 years, including project manager and director of human resources.

The bank also named Bruce Bettridge senior vice president/ commercial loan officer. Bettridge will oversee commercial loans at all four of Business Bank of Nevada's branches. Previously, Bettridge worked for Nevada Bank and Trust in Ely for 16 years, where he worked his way up the ranks from branch manager to executive vice president.

Pamela Pallan has joined Business Bank of Nevada as vice president/relationship manager at the bank's Plaza Office. Pallan has 20 years' experience working in the banking industry and served in numerous management positions with Community Bank of Nevada, Primerit Bank and Valley Bank of Nevada.

Business Bank of Nevada is in its fifth year of operations and is one of the fastest-growing independent commercial banks in the state. It is currently reporting assets in excess of $140 million.

Last November, the bank became a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is the federal bank for the twelfth district in the United States. The twelfth district is made up of nine western states—Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington—plus American Samoa, . In December, Business Bank of Nevada opened its fourth branch office in Carson City as it made its first move into northern Nevada. Plans call for additional branches in northern Nevada in the near future.
