Continuing to receive recognition for its editorial excellence, Imagine Media's Business Division today announced that Business 2.0 magazine has been named Best Overall General-Interest Publication by the Computer Press Association (CPA (Computer Press Association, Landing, NJ) An earlier membership organization founded in 1983 that promoted excellence in computer journalism. Its annual awards honored outstanding examples in print, broadcast and electronic media. The CPA disbanded in 2000. ) at the 2000 Computer Press Awards.

The award honors Business 2.0's commitment to serving the needs of its readers by providing exceptional news and feature coverage of the computer industry. Specific issues of Business 2.0 singled out by the Computer Press Association include August, October, and December 1999.

The Computer Press Association explained their reasons for bestowing top honors to Business 2.0 at this year's awards stating: "This is not a computer magazine, but it's the magazine that brings computing, business, and technology together. Unique perspectives on many stories bring readers to a higher level of insight. Aggressive and exciting presentation conveys the energy and importance of the topics."
