Bush pro-UN."Behind the Deception" by William F. Jasper (THE NEW AMERICAN, November 17 issue) offers strong evidence about President Bush and his support of the UN. However, there is one important question that all those who think the President is anti-UN should ask themselves: If President Bush is anti-UN, and the U.S. invasion of Iraq violated the UN Charter, why didn't the UN do anything to help defend Iraq? The fact that the UN did nothing militarily to stop the U.S. is a clear indication, I believe, that the whole operation is to strengthen the UN. Iraq was a thorn in the UN's side.
