Bush doesn't need voters.James K. Galbraith's article was extremely interesting ("Why Bush Likes a Bad Economy," October issue), but I fear the lack of interest the current Administration has in trying to gain voter VOTER. One entitled to a vote; an elector. approval is another piece of evidence that the voting results of the next national election are foreordained fore·or·dain tr.v. fore·or·dained, fore·or·dain·ing, fore·or·dains To determine or appoint beforehand; predestine. fore . The actions of this Administration boggle bog·gle v. bog·gled, bog·gling, bog·gles v.intr. 1. To hesitate as if in fear or doubt. 2. the mind of any rational individual who believes in a democratic process. Bush makes no effort to rally any support other than the core right wing that is his base. He needs no others when the new electronic voting Electronic voting (also known as e-voting) is a term encompassing several different types of voting, embracing both electronic means of casting a vote and electronic means of counting votes. processes are controlled by those who support the Bush agenda. If we see all the close states go to Bush and some extraordinary swings in voter preferences between the last poll and the election results, I will be completely convinced that, indeed, the Constitution has gone away.
