"Bush Communications has done so much to help our cause this past year, that there really was no question about their being named our Volunteer of the Year," said Ken Hurd, director of development and communications at Project Angel Food.

"The Web site they created for Project Angel Food is a real work of art, and we've gotten such tremendously positive response to it. The new site also allows us to take advantage of the growing field of e-commerce and e-philanthropy. The work Bush has done has really helped move the organization to the next level and prepare us for our next 10 years of service. The fight is not over."

The relationship has proven to be an extremely positive experience for Bush Communications as well.

"It has been incredibly rewarding for us to be involved with an organization as important as Project Angel Food this year, and we are honored to be recognized with this distinguished award," said William Bush, chief executive officer of Bush Communications.

"They are doing such significant work in feeding and helping to alleviate the isolation and loneliness felt by people suffering from AIDS, that when we were given the opportunity to work with the organization, there was no question -- we leapt at it.

"We're happy we've been able to help their mission and their reach into the community. Contributing to Project Angel Food is for us a labor of love."

In addition to the Web site, Bush Communications contributed its services in the creation of a series of advertisements based on a "Just Add Love" theme that ran in local publications, including L.A. Weekly. The firm also designed and built a booth for Project Angel Food's annual Divine Design charity fashion event, as well as other assorted marketing materials, including a bookmark A stored location for quick retrieval at a later date.
