Bush Boake Allen Begins Production of Seasonings in Chile.

Also this week, Bush Boake Allen announced completion of the expansion and modernization of its facilities in Buenos Aires and held an open house for customers at that site. Acquired in late 1996, the former Aromatica Industrial Sudamericana SA plant, which previously had been devoted to producing fragrance products, will now also process a range of food flavors. Gibson was joined at both receptions by Julian W. Boyden, BBA's chairman, president and chief executive officer, and Fred W. Brown, vice president and chief financial officer.

In commenting on the expansion, Boyden noted that "BBA is on a strong growth curve throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. These expanded plants mesh well with our other locations in Columbia, Brazil and Jamaica. Coupled with our plant in Mexico, which we acquired in September and are now modernizing, BBA will have customer service capabilities in the Latin American region which are second to none."
