The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Arlington Bush of Laurel. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wray Bush of Laurel and Mrs. L. L. Davis of Brandon and the late Dr. L. L. Davis of Brandon.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wayne Davis of Laurel. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Folks of Taylorsville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ivor Davis of Newton.

Dr. Randall Warren Turner performed the double-ring ceremony and was assisted by ministers Rev. Joseph Martin Fields and Rev. Arnold Arlington Bush. Mrs. Finee Ramagos Ruffin served as the wedding director. A program of nuptial nup·tial

A floral arrangement was placed in the front of the church in memory of the grandfather of the bride and the grandparents of the groom.

The bride, escorted by her father, entered to Clarke's "Trumpet Voluntary" wearing a candlelight V-neck gown accented by Swarovski crystals. It featured an A-line skirt with a chapel-length train. The bride wore her mother's cathedral-length illusion veil with re-embroidered Alencon lace made by the bride's great aunt Dr. Rebecca Thomasson. The bride carried a formal hand-tied bouquet of pink with white Rossini roses tied together with wired, French ribbon. The stems were wrapped in ivory satin with pearls.

The bride and groom were escorted to the reception by Mr. Barry Brady, a family friend, in a 1955 Red Chevy Bel Air convertible. The bridal party followed in a vintage red fire engine driven by family friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Smith. The reception was held at the Quality Inn and Conference Center, which had been transformed into a romantic Southern garden with arrangements of hydrangeas, Stargazer stargazer, common name for any of several species of marine fishes of the family Uranoscopidae, found in southern waters, and having the mouth, nostrils, and eyes set high in the head. At their departure, the newlyweds were showered with rose petals as they escaped for their honeymoon in Antigua.
