Bursting into Song - ''Cheerioke'' Winning Group from the Kansas City Area Takes $10,000 Grand Prize; America Chooses Casey Matthews, Heidi Nelson and Jessica Joy Nelson as Winners of National Yogurt Burst(TM) ''Cheerioke'' Contest.


MINNEAPOLIS -- There's nothing like an enticing new take on an old favorite, whether it's a song or a cereal. Today, Casey Matthews of Overland Park, KS; Heidi Nelson of Shawnee, KS; and Jessica Joy Nelson of Raymore, MO were named the winners of the first-ever Yogurt Burst(TM) "Cheerioke" contest, receiving the grand prize: $10,000 and a case of Yogurt Burst(TM) Cheerios(R) cereal. The contest -- in which participants sang the classic '60s tune, "I'm Into Something Good" -- celebrated the addition of Yogurt Burst Cheerios Yogurt Burst Cheerios is a brand of breakfast cereal by the General Mills cereal company that is nearly the same as the original Cheerios, but has some cereal pieces which are coated with 100% yogurt.  cereal, in strawberry and vanilla flavors, to the Cheerios cereal family.

 selected 15 finalist groups from among all entries received via mail and videotaped at "Cheerioke" events. Portions of each finalist group's entry were posted on the "Cheerioke" Web site for viewing. The grand prize winners were determined through online voting at www.cheerioscontest.com.
