Bursting at the Seams, Eric Clapton's Treatment Centre Hires New Staff to Accommodate Rapid Growth.


ANTIGUA, West Indies--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 13, 1999--

After less than a year in operation, Crossroads Centre at Antigua, the drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation facility founded by rock legend Eric Clapton, has added two new staff members to accommodate the overwhelming response to its residential program.

, and Michelle Lefever-Klinedinst from York, Pa., has joined the staff as director of treatment services. The announcement was made by Anne Vance, chief executive officer for Crossroads Centre.

"We are delighted to have Charles and Michelle join our staff in Antigua," said Vance. "They are both extremely accomplished in the areas of health care and addictions treatment, and we know they will be great assets to our staff at Crossroads Centre."

Mulligan comes to Crossroads Centre from The Livengrin Foundation in Bensalem, Pa., where he had been director of satellite services since 1997, accountable for the operations of seven partial hospital sites providing a full range of behavioral health-care services.

In this capacity, his professional duties were concentrated in program development, budgeting, financial management and personnel. Throughout his career, Mulligan has served as a director for Comprehensive Addiction Programs in Herendon, Va., and Rehab After Work in Philadelphia. Mulligan is conversant CONVERSANT. In his new position as COO for Crossroads Centre, Mulligan will be responsible for Total Quality Management of the Centre, which includes the day-to-day operations and fiscal management.

Lefever-Klinedinst was director of counseling services, York College, Pa., prior to joining Crossroads Centre at Antigua. She coordinated the national depression screenings, eating disorders eating disorders, in psychology, disorders in eating patterns that comprise four categories: anorexia nervosa, bulimia, rumination disorder, and pica. Anorexia nervosa is characterized by self-starvation to avoid obesity. , and local and national drug and alcohol awareness programs. In addition, Lefever-Klinedinst helped facilitate several college organizations and task forces for alcohol and drug education. She also served as a consultant for the Pennsylvania Department of Health in the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse.

Lefever-Klinedinst was also director of drug and alcohol programs at Delphic Medical Center in York. She is a member of both the American College Counseling Association The American College Counseling Association (ACCA) is a division of the American Counseling Association (ACA) for individuals whose professional identity is in counseling, whose work setting is higher education, and whose purpose is fostering students’ development.  and the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals. Crossroads Centre at Antigua is a nonprofit drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation facility founded in 1997 by rock legend Eric Clapton. The cost for a 28-day treatment program at the Centre runs at U.S.$9,000, which makes it among the lowest-cost private residential treatment programs to be found anywhere.
