Burns out to make up for lost time.


Luckless Newcastle rider Chris Burns is hoping to finally make the MotoGP grid at Le Mans, having been robbed of his seasonal debut in Spain through injury.

Burns, who had already missed the first round of the championship, endured a miserable weekend in Jerez two weeks ago and now is desperate to make up for lost time.

Burns crashed in qualifying in Spain and suffered a thumb injury with saw him barred from competing.

He said: "I've been having l treatment on the injured in·jure

 thumb which is twice the size of the other one.

"I'm certain I'll be able to ride and I've been able to train hard since the crash. All I want is a change of luck and a good steady weekend on the bike."

Meanwhile, Ulsterman Jeremy McWilliams Jeremy McWilliams (born 4 April 1964 in Belfast, Northern Ireland), is a Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He often competed on V-Twin bikes in the 500cc series, matching the more powerful four-strokes in qualifying but rarely in the races.  is desperate to get out on the track at Le Mans today as he bids to avenge a·venge
