Burns named president of Tadpole Technology Inc.

), the leader in workstation-class notebook computing, today announced the appointment of a new president and the promotion of three senior executives.

Randy Burns has been appointed president of TTI. He reports to the Tadpole tadpole, larval, aquatic stage of any of the amphibian animals. After hatching from the egg, the tadpole, sometimes called a polliwog, is gill-breathing and legless and propels itself by means of a tail.  Group Chief Executive Officer George Grey.

Previously Burns was director of operations for TTI, where he was responsible for TTI's operations, customer support and engineering liaison. Prior to working at Tadpole, he held several positions at E-Systems Corp. (Greenville Division) and LTV LTV

In addition, Tadpole announced the promotions of three senior executives reporting directly to Burns, including Deane Curran, now vice president of sales and marketing; Lloyd Bishop, now director of the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) The rebranding of equipment and selling it. The term initially referred to the company that made the products (the "original" manufacturer), but eventually became widely used to refer to the organization that buys the products and  Business Group; and Gerry Bula, now vice president of finance and chief financial officer, who also reports to Group Finance Director, Bob Booth.

Tadpole Technology designs and manufactures high-performance, workstation-class notebook computers, board-level and software products for OEMs and end-users.
