Burns lead police to find meth lab.

Byline: The Register-Guard

SPRINGFIELD - McKenzie-Willamette Hospital emergency workers tipped off police to a drug-related explosion early Wednesday after a woman sought treatment for burns to her face and hands.

Katrina Lee Gallagher, 37, was examined at the hospital for burns she said she suffered in a gas stove fire but which were caused by a methamphetamine lab explosion, Sgt. John King said.

Gallagher became "uncooperative and combative" when questioned by hospital workers about the cause of her injuries, he said. She was transferred to the burn center at Portland's Legacy Emmanuel Hospital.
