Burnham Institute for Medical Research Appoints Cyril Doucet as Vice President, Operations and Administration for Burnham Florida.


LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Burnham Institute for Medical Research The Burnham Institute for Medical Research celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Founded in La Jolla, California, as a non-profit medical research institute focused on cancer research, the Burnham has grown to a 750 person effort, with an annual operating budget of $87 million.  (Burnham) has appointed Cyril Doucet as Vice President, Operations and Administration for Burnham at Lake Nona in Orlando, Florida. In that capacity he will be responsible for management of Burnham's growing operations in Orlando as the institute prepares to move from their temporary facilities to their permanent Florida campus at Lake Nona in 2009.

Prior to joining the Institute, Mr. Doucet served as the Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer A chief administrative officer (CAO) is responsible for administrative management of private, public or governmental corporations. The CAO is one of the highest ranking members of an organization, managing daily operations and usually reporting directly to the chief executive  and Secretary-Treasurer at the Trudeau Institute in Saranac Lake, New York. Earlier in his career, Mr. Doucet held positions as Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Laboratories at the National Research Council in Ottawa, Canada, and Vice President, Administration and Secretary-Treasurer at the Paper Research Institute of Canada in Montreal.
