:BNI) Thursday reelected the company's nine directors and adopted a restricted stock incentive plan at the company's annual meeting at its James J. Hill James Jerome Hill (September 16 1838 – May 29 1916), was a noted Canadian-American railroad executive. He was the chief executive officer of a family of lines headed by the Great Northern Railway, which served a substantial area of the Upper Midwest, the northern Great  Center in Fort Worth.

The directors, each reelected for a one-year term, are: Jack S. Blanton Jack S. Blanton (born 1929, in Shreveport, Louisiana), but raised in Houston, Texas, is a philanthropist who earned his wealth in the oil industry.

In his remarks, BNI chairman and chief executive officer Gerald Grinstein told shareholders that the company is achieving several major goals set in 1991. "Four years ago, we set a goal of lowering our long-term debt ratio Long-term debt ratio

Located at the company's James J. Hill Center in Fort Worth, the 180,000-square-foot Network Operations Center consolidates train dispatching and network management functions for the entire Burlington Northern Railroad system into one location. A grand opening for the facility, which became operational in March, is scheduled for April 25.

Headquartered in Forth Worth, BNI is the parent company of Burlington Northern Railroad, the longest rail system in North America in terms of miles of road and second main track, with more than 24,300 miles reaching across 25 states and two Canadian provinces. BNI recorded revenues of $4.995 billion in 1994.
