Burlington County College uses WebCT to provide nationwide access to cancer curriculum; One-of-a-kind online cancer registry certification program helps healthcare institutions harness data about serious disease.


LYNNFIELD, Mass. -- New Jersey's Burlington County College Not to be confused with Burlington College.

Burlington County College is an accredited, co-educational, two-year, public, community college located in Burlington County, New Jersey.
 this September begins its third fully online program for candidates seeking certification to expertly manage cancer information. The one-of-a-kind initiative helps fill a nationwide demand for cancer information specialists and is supported by the WebCT Campus Edition(TM) course management system.

The Cancer Registry A cancer registry is a systematic collection of data about cancer and tumor diseases. The data is collected by Cancer Registrars. Cancer Registrars capture a complete summary of patient history, diagnosis, treatment, and status for every cancer patient in the United States, and  Certificate Program educates students - including undergraduates, registered nurses and physicians - to methodically me·thod·i·cal   also me·thod·ic

All course content, lectures, quizzes, exams and discussions are delivered through WebCT Campus Edition. The program makes extensive use of online discussions in WebCT to explore complex cases. Burlington County College's cancer registry program is approved by the National Cancer Registrars Association, the same body that bestows the certification.
