Burlington Chemical dedicates synthesis plant.


BURLINGTON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1997--On Tuesday November 11, 1997, Burlington Chemical Company celebrated the latest step in its sustainable expansion program by dedicating the L. Bascom Moore Moore, city (1990 pop. 40,761), Cleveland co., central Okla., a suburb of Oklahoma City; inc. 1887. Its manufactures include lightning- and surge-protection equipment, packaging for foods, and auto parts.  Synthesis Plant. Employees, local business leaders, and municipal officials were on hand for the dedication. Mr. Moore has been CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Burlington Chemical since the early 1960s and has provided the leadership that has spurred the growth of the company.

In remarks made by Mr. Mike Scott, President of Burlington Chemical,"These facilities are only another step in the vision held by the management team of not only expanding its capabilities, but of expanding its markets as well." Mr. Scott further praised the employees of the company for their efforts in making this expansion possible.

In his remarks, Mr. Moore expressed his thanks to all those responsible for bringing about what he termed "a 40 year dream turned into reality."

The new synthesis facility consists of 2-controlled atmosphere, automated au·to·mate
