, Cardiff City's tricky and potent winger, is ready for tomorrow's Bristol City challenge.

Former Rangers player Burke signed for the Bluebirds when Wayne Routledge Wayne Neville Routledge (born January 7 1985 in Sidcup, London) and attended The Archbishop Lanfranc School (Croydon) is an English footballer, who currently plays for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur after completing his season long loan spell at Fulham.  left South Wales South Wales south nsud m du Pays de Galles  for Queens Park Rangers.

While Routledge relies on a surge of power and acceleration over a short distance to beat his man, Burke has a lot more to his game and has a completely different style, being able to beat an opponent with ability and close control.

On the firm pitch at Cardiff City Stadium he is in his element.

"It's a great place to play," says Burke.

"The atmosphere has been great and hopefully tomorrow it will be even better.

"The fans can help us make our stadium a fortress. They play such a vital role and can help us beat Bristol City tomorrow.

"Opposing teams enjoy coming to our stadium because it is so good - and the pitch is top notch.

"But when their players step onto the pitch we must make them feel it's still like Ninian Park Coordinates:  Ninian Park is a football stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Currently, it is the home ground of Cardiff City F.C. .

"When the fans are cheering us it must be a daunting place for away players. Our supporters can give us confidence."

Glasgow-born Burke, 25, has made 19 first team appearances for the Bluebirds and looks certain to start against Bristol City tomorrow.

He will play on one side of midfield with in-form Peter Whittingham on the other wing.

Both have looked sharp during Cardiff's opening fixtures.

"Confidence is already high and we have to keep momentum going," said Burke.

Burke has experience of derby matches, playing for Rangers against Celtic and for City in last season's 1-1 draw against Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

"Derby games are always good to play in," says Burke.

"Both teams are unbeaten so far and that will add to the occasion.

"We will have to be at our best to ensure we take the three points we want."
