To search carefully for plunder; pillage. the house and making off with cash. Four raiders burst into their Maghull house through the back door. Two of them were ar med. They threatened the family and demanded cash before slashing slash·ing adj. 1. Bitingly critical or satiric: slashing wit. 2. Dashing; pelting: a slashing hailstorm. 3. the man, who is in his 50s, in his leg and head. The offenders were all white, in their late teens or early 20s. All wore dark clothes and hoodies. It is thought they fled on foot. The dad was taken for hospital. The attack happened on Saturday night at around 10.30pm on Little Acre, Maghull. Detective Inspector Dave Keegan (left) said: "This was a very distressing experience for this family and we want to catch these offenders. We need your help to do that."
