Burglar warning.


RAIDERS who tried to break into National Grid premises are being hunted.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the attempted burglary burglary, at common law, the breaking and entering of a dwelling house of another at night with the intent to commit a felony, whether the intent is carried out or not.  at 11.50pm on Monday at the Stella West Sub Station, Newburn Bridge Road, Ryton, in Gateshead.

Initial enquiries suggest nothing was taken in this incident. However, police are concerned people are risking their safety. Neighbourhood Insp Jamie Pitt of Gateshead Area Command, said: "Tampering tampering The adulteration of a thing. See Drug tampering.  with electricity can have fatal consequences.

We would urge whoever is responsible to stop."
