Burglar faces sentence.


A COVENTRY man who carried out nearly 30 burglaries in Warwickshire is due to be sentenced today.

Steven Weastell, aged 34, of Leicester Causeway, Foleshill, was charged with three burglaries and the theft of two vehicles after being seized seized (seised) n. 1) having ownership, commonly used in wills as "I give all the property of which I die seized as follows:...." 2) having taken possession of evidence for use in a criminal prosecution. 3) having taken property or a person by force. (See: seisin, seizure)  by police last Friday .

When appearing before Nuneaton magistrates the following day, Weastell asked that 25 other burglaries, including a commercial burglary burglary, at common law, the breaking and entering of a dwelling house of another at night with the intent to commit a felony, whether the intent is carried out or not. , be taken into consideration.

Police say most of the crimes were carried out in the Leamington area. He is set to appear at Warwick Crown Court today .
