Burger King Corp. recently made the following personnel changes: appointed Betty Ann Blandon to vice president, audit and risk management; expanded the role of Andy Bonaparte, senior director, advertising and multi-cultural marketing, which includes responsibility for directing the creative development of all advertising materials related to television, radio and print, and ensuring that the corporation's marketing efforts are impactful for the company's growing multi-culturally diverse audience; appointed Steven C. DeSutter as senior vice president, corporate communications; promoted Dawn Foster to director, product marketing; Brian Gies to vice president, marketing impact; appointed Calvin Harris as senior director, product innovation; promoted Jim Hyatt to executive vice president, U.S. franchise operations; Mike Kappitt to vice president, consumer insights and strategic planning; named Melody Roadman executive director of the Burger King/McLamore Foundation; hired John Schaufelberger as senior director, product marketing; promoted Gillian Smith to senior director, media and global collaboration, and appointed Cindy Syracuse as senior director, sponsorships and promotions.
