:R), a global leader in transportation and supply chain management solutions, announced that John H. Dasburg, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Burger King, Corp., has been elected to the Board of Directors of Ryder System, Inc.

Dasburg was named Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Burger King in February 2001. Prior to joining Burger King Corporation, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Northwest Airlines for 10 years. In 1980, he joined Marriott Corp. and later served as president of Marriott's Lodging Group and executive vice president of Marriott Corp.
