At Bunge North America, Tim Gallagher, Sr VP/GM, Bunge Grain, is promoted to Exec VP overseeing grain operations and Bunge's expanding biofuels activities.

Larry Clarke, Sr VP/GM, Bunge Oilseed Processing, is promoted to Exec VP and is responsible for oilseed processing, oils and transportation.

Fred Luckey, Sr VP/GM, Bunge Milling, is promoted to Exec VP overseeing milling operations, procurement and a newly created industrial management organization that combines all engineering and operations support functions into one department.

The company announces it is expanding the crush capacity of its soybean processing plant in Council Bluffs, IA, by more than 11 million bushels per year. When the expansion is complete by harvest 2008, the facility will have an annual crush capacity of nearly 77 million bushels, the largest in the U.S.

Also, Bunge and Biodiesel Investment Group, LLC, announce the creation of Biofuels Company of America, LLC (BCA), a joint venture that will build the 45-million-gallon-per-year biodiesel plant adjacent to Bunge's soybean processing facility in Danville, IL.
