Tesco said that 180 new jobs would be created if plans for the new store on Birmingham Road, Dudley, at the Burnt Tree island, get the go-ahead.

The new store will be built over two levels, with a lower level a car park.

Plans for the store will gather pace when neighbouring store Wickes vacates its site, allowing Tesco more room to expand. Tesco said that the existing store, dating back almost 20 years, was now outdated.
