 the survey, conducted online among 4,000 users and 500 companies in six countries throughout Latin America, only Brazil has a higher percentage of companies recruiting in a six month period. The remaining countries, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Mexico and Venezuela, had a higher index of vacant positions in the same period.

At a regional level the responses indicate that work stability is preferred over salary, (excluding Spain where 50.2% of those consulted preferred a higher salary over a 49.8% which opted for stability), while companies considered layoffs as the primary reason to relieve an employee. In Brazil 42.9% of the companies chose lack of qualifications and problems with management (42.8%) as the primary reasons for dismissals.

In relation to the interest of employees, the main factors in choosing a job vary between salary and career goals. From the point of view of candidates, professional development is more important while companies consider salary as the primary interest.
