 warmed to Cardiff City on the day he witnessed the 'awesome' sight of Bluebirds fans celebrating promotion.

City's newest arrival trains for the first time today and said he will never forget the day Cardiff drew 3-3 at York City to clinch promotion from Division Three.

It was almost three years ago, during April 2001, and Bullock said: 'I couldn't believe how many fans travelled up from Wales - they were awesome. The atmosphere was like nothing I had ever experienced before.

'Their fans filled the ground and I can remember going out onto the pitch and thinking 'wow'.

'I realised for the first time that Cardiff City were on the rise.'

Bullock, 22, has joined City on loan until the end of the season and could even make his Nationwide League debut against Reading at Ninian Park Coordinates:  Ninian Park is a football stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Currently, it is the home ground of Cardiff City F.C.  next Tuesday.

He is in the match-day squad for Saturday's home clash with First Division leaders Norwich City. But manager Lennie Lawrence Lennie Lawrence, (born December 12 1947), is a British football manager. He has managed Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough, Luton Town, Grimsby Town, Plymouth Argyle and Bradford City. Most recently he managed Cardiff City, and is now Director of Football at Bristol Rovers.  said he is unlikely to be in the 16.
