The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (or OJJDP) is an office of the United States Department of Justice and a component of the Office of Justice Programs.  (OJJDP OJJDP Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (federal agency) ) presents Trends in Juvenile Violent Offending: An Analysis of Victim Survey Data, which offers information on trends in juvenile violent offending from the past two decades, based on data collected from victims of serious, violent offenses (e.g., aggravated assault, robbery, and forcible rape) by the National Crime Victimization Survey The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS), administered by the Bureau of Justice Statistics, is a national survey of approximately 77,200 [1] households in the United States, on the frequency of crime victimization, as well as chacteristics and consequences  (NCVS). This bulletin observes that examining information from a variety of sources related to juvenile offending will assist efforts to prevent and intervene in such delinquency.
