Business users in 10 island nations to enjoy mobile e-mail and

information services 

Corporate customers of Cable & Wireless in the Caribbean are able to turn their wireless phones into hand-held mobile offices thanks to a partnership between the wireless carrier and BulletIN.net.

Cable & Wireless has selected BulletIN(TM) wireless messaging/Internet infrastructure and software products to deliver mobile messaging, localized information content and advanced e-mail services to business users in Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Turks and Caicos.

These will be the first such wireless enhanced services available on the islands. Cable & Wireless will market the services, with support from BulletIN.net, as Cable & Wireless MobileMail.

BulletIN.net's technology allows standard Internet e-mail messages to be filtered, sent to and accessed via mobile phones using the wireless Short Messaging Service (SMS) capability. Cable & Wireless will be using BulletIN.net's SMS Gateway equipment as well as providing services to its customers using BulletIN Corporate, a software solution that allows users to receive their office/LAN e-mail on their wireless devices, including mobile phones, pagers and palm computers.
