Under the theme, "It's a Bull Smart Card World," product demonstrations include a range of capabilities that also showcase capabilities from solution partners. Bull demonstrations include the new TBC80 card, the latest release of Odyssey Java card and Odyssey Lab software development kit, the Crypto Builder and Smart Builder software development kits for high-security applications, and the Uniprox universal contactless card reader.

Third-party solutions being demonstrated that benefit from Bull's smart card technology are Americam, Inc., a new Bull partner in the secure physical access market; The Pathways Group, Inc., which is showing e-purse and self-ticketing kiosk applications; and Computerized Security Systems' (CSS (1) See Cascading Style Sheets.

Show Highlights

--Bull's new TBC80 card combines hardware security with software-based PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) A framework for creating a secure method for exchanging information based on public key cryptography. The foundation of a PKI is the certificate authority (CA), which issues digital certificates that authenticate the identity of  (Public Key Infrastructure) technology, making it possible to store keys and certificates on a secure smart card. As well as storing private keys, the TBC80 can also generate its own RSA signature key pairs, thereby ensuring that no copy of the private key can be made. This is fundamental for non-repudiation because the signature key never leaves the protected environment of the smart card.

--Bull and Americam have teamed up as partners to market Americam's family of smart-card based secure building access control systems in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America.
