With non-residential buildings in the US consuming upwards of 40% of the nation's energy including over 71% of all electricity; producing 38% of atmospheric emissions;

The Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments, a group of leading global corporations that embrace sustainability, will conduct a series of educational workshops at the upcoming Buildings NY event June 27-28 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

From utilizing products designed for water conservation and sustainability in plumbing to green roofs and using green as an assessment and management tool, the Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments will provide the faculty from today's leading companies involved in sustainability.

Company representatives from Johnson Controls, Kohler Co., Owens Corning, Forbo Flooring, Milliken Carpet, Johnson Diversey, Philips Lighting and USG will present the sessions that begin on Wed. June 27 at 11:00 a.m and continue in approximately half-hour increments ending at 4:00 p.m. Thursday's sessions begin at 11:00 a.m and continue through 4:00 p.m.
