AFTER two years of building, work is almost complete on North Leamington Community School and Arts College's site.

Headteacher David Hazeldine said: "I still find it hard to believe that after ten years of planning and hard work the vision for a new North Leamington School is soon to become reality."

About pounds 30 million has been spent on creating the modern school designs, including a sports centre sports centre (Brit) sport ncentre sportif

The site has been designed as a spacious campus, and will be the most eco-friendly school in the county, incorporating environmentallyfriendly features such as natural ventilation Natural ventilation is the process of supplying and removing air through an indoor space by natural means. There are two types of natural ventilation occurring in buildings: wind driven ventilation and stack ventilation.  and green roofs, covered with alpine plants to encourage wildlife biodiversity.

Mr Hazeldine said: "I love the new building on two levels; as well as the excellent facilities such as the sports grounds and state of the art theatre, the architecture and landscaping creates and amazing a·maze

The entire school community has been involved in the work every step of the way, sharing their ideas and taking part in decision making on various aspects of the new building.

It has been a local affair, with the design by Warwickshire-based Robotham Architecture and the work carried out by one of Warwickshire County Council's Framework Contractors, Miller Construction.
