Building the legend of T.

Next weekend will be the 16th time T in the Park has been held since the first far, far, smaller event in 1994.

The world's biggest musical acts have all played T from Oasis to Green Day, Kylie and Robbie.

Here we remember some of T's best moments - on stage and off.

While Rage Against The Machine and Cypress Hill were on the main stage and Blur, Oasis and Manic Street Preachers were packed into the King Tut's tent in 1994, all eyes were on Robbie Williams, then in Take That, who turned up and played football backstage.

The next year it was the turn of Kylie Minogue to create a stir when she became the star of the festival after being invited by Nick Cave to sing their duet Where The Wild Roses Grow. She created site fever when she went to the signing tent.

In the third year, and the last at the original site, Strathclyde Park, all the attention was on Keanu Reeves. While his band Dogstar were pants, he wasn't. Arriving on a shuttle bus to play the festival the Hollywood actor was soon mobbed everywhere he went.

Also that year Clash legend Joe Strummer busked in the campsite.

There have been a number of great collaborations. There was Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller's surprise duet in 2001. The Oasis star joined Weller for an acoustic set including The Jam classic That's Entertainment.

Another great collaboration was The Killers' Brandon Flowers joining his heroes New Order on stage in 2005 for their song Crystal.

And with Lily Allen, Lady GaGa and Katy Perry on the bill this year, adding some sexy pop to the dirty rock'n'roll, this year also promises a few surprises.
