Building the legend of T.

Next weekend will be the 16th time T in the Park has been held since the first far, far, smaller event in 1994.

were on the main stage and Blur, Oasis and Manic Street Preachers were packed into the King Tut's tent in 1994, all eyes were on Robbie Williams, then in Take That, who turned up and played football backstage.

There have been a number of great collaborations. There was Noel Gallagher and Paul Weller's surprise duet in 2001. The Oasis star joined Weller for an acoustic set including The Jam classic That's Entertainment.

Another great collaboration was The Killers' Brandon Flowers joining his heroes New Order on stage in 2005 for their song Crystal.

And with Lily Allen, Lady GaGa and Katy Perry on the bill this year, adding some sexy pop to the dirty rock'n'roll, this year also promises a few surprises.
