Building buy makes scents for county prosecutor.

, president of Real Estate Strategies Corporation, jointly announced that the Passaic County's Prosecutor's Office has purchased the 62,000 s/f building known as 10 Gordon Drive, Building 7, at the former Totowa Research Campus in Totowa, New Jersey Totowa is a borough in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 9,892.

Totowa was formed as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 15, 1898, from portions of Manchester Township and Wayne
.

Building 7 was part of the former research and manufacturing campus of Symrise, Inc., a German based global manufacturer of fragrances, flavorsand specialty aromas.

"The Prosecutor's Office approached Real Estate Strategies Corporation to determine if any of the buildings at Totowa Research Campus could accommodate their specific operational requirements (programming) operational requirements - Qualitative and quantitative parameters that specify the desired capabilities of a system and serve as a basis for determining the operational effectiveness and suitability of a system prior to deployment. ." Andrew Zezas stated, "As project coordinator on the Totowa Research Campus project, Matthew Kirby did an excellent job of demonstrating the attributes of Building 7 that would make it the optimal solution to satisfy the needs of the Prosecutor's Office.

"Matthew was superb at matching the requirements of the Prosecutor's Office with the objectives of our client, Symrise, and was able to effect a transaction that satisfied both entities."

Building 7, which includes offices, cold storage, warehouse, and loading space, was most recently utilized by Symrise as a part of its US customer service center, for warehousing and distributing products throughout North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere. , and for blending and manufacturing aromas, fragrances, and flavor products.

Prior to Symrise acquiring Building 7, the property was used to manufacture railroad freight car undercarriages.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office will renovate Building 7 and plans to occupy the property by year end 2005.
