But The Flanagan Group is perhaps best known in Liverpool for its chain of bars, restaurants and hotels. The group owns the exclusive Newz Bar on Water Street. Sintilate, a club night featuring guest DJs and which is also run at clubs in London and Marbella, recently linked up with Newz and now holds an event there every Thursday.

The Flanagans also host a fundraising black tie ball which is held six times a year and raises money for The Lily Centre, a breast cancer charity In addition to Newz the Flanagans recently acquired and refurbished a bar, restaurant and hotel in the city centre - The Sir Thomas Hotel. Like Newz it has also become one of Liverpool's most fashionable bar and restaurants and also has a 39-room hotel attached to it.

The Flanagans also own The Park Hotel in Aintree and The Stonebridge Inn in Gilmoss.
