That being said, there are a lot people who will simply create a Twitter profile and try to get as many people following them as possible- as if it were a popularity contest. Well, I''ve got news for you. If you join a micro-blogging service like Twitter and don''t contribute to the ongoing conversations, then you aren''t using it for what it''s intended. As a result, you might get a bunch of followers, but how many of those followers will actually yield you business? You also have to be careful, because if you try to follow someone on Twitter but your tweets consist of nothing but blog posts or posts related to marketing your business, then you may get blocked. After you get blocked a certain number of times by people, your account gets suspended and you will eventually get kicked out.

Building meaningful relationships is crucial to the success of a business. For example, if one person likes your product or service, then chances are that they''ll spread that message to other people who will then spread the message on to others and so on.
