As a result of this integration effort, orders placed by the BuildPoint community of contractors can be integrated directly into the WESCO order management system, providing WESCO with an additional online system for managing contractor orders more efficiently.

Using the online BuildPoint catalog for the direct purchase of construction materials, registered contractors will be able to easily identify and price WESCO's electrical supplies and initiate orders over the web. Orders will then be integrated automatically into WESCO's order management system, reducing processing time and errors, while improving service to job sites.

BuildPoint will be working with WESCO branches nationwide to create appropriate custom construction market catalogs available through the BuildPoint transactional catalog. By working with WESCO on a national basis, BuildPoint will provide contractors with instant access to the most comprehensive inventory of electrical equipment and supplies available online.
