EARNINGS UP 11 percent First quarter earnings from consolidated operations increased 11 percent to $983,000 or $0.04 per share, compared with $887,000 or $0.04 per share last year. Gross profit remained the same at 30 percent. The number of outstanding shares in the first quarter was 23.6 million compared to 21.5 million last year. SALES UP 24 percent First quarter revenue from consolidated operations increased by 24 percent to $17,694,000 compared with $14,259,000 last year. 16TH CONSECUTIVE QUARTER OF INCREASED EARNINGS This quarter marks the 16th consecutive quarter of growth in profits compared with the same quarter in previous years. DIVIDEND The Company increased its annual dividend by 20 percent, from $0.05 to $0.06 per share. The dividend was paid on January 1st., 1997, to shareholders of record on December 23rd, 1996.
