EARNINGS UP 11 percent

First quarter earnings from consolidated operations increased 11 percent to $983,000 or $0.04 per share, compared with $887,000 or $0.04 per share last year. Gross profit remained the same at 30 percent. The number of outstanding shares in the first quarter was 23.6 million compared to 21.5 million last year. SALES UP 24 percent

First quarter revenue from consolidated operations increased by 24 percent to $17,694,000 compared with $14,259,000 last year.

16TH CONSECUTIVE QUARTER OF INCREASED EARNINGS

This quarter marks the 16th consecutive quarter of growth in profits compared with the same quarter in previous years. DIVIDEND

The Company increased its annual dividend by 20 percent, from $0.05 to $0.06 per share. The dividend was paid on January 1st., 1997, to shareholders of record on December 23rd, 1996.

Buhler Industries Inc. owns and operates four fully equipped manufacturing plants and five distribution centres totalling 500,000 square feet of buildings on large parcels of land totalling over 100 acres. The company manufactures a wide range of agricultural equipment marketed throughout North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  under brand names "ALLIED" and "FARM KING". The company also manufactures furniture under the brand name "Buhler" and operates Dominion dominion, power to rule, or that which is subject to rule. Before 1949 the term was used officially to describe the self-governing countries of the Commonwealth of Nations—e.g., Canada, Australia, or India.  Lumber lumber, term for timber that has been cut into boards for use as a building material. The major steps in producing lumber involve logging (the felling and preparation of timber for shipment to sawmills), sawing the logs into boards, grading the boards according to  (Winnipeg Ltd.), a wholesale lumber company.
