Buhler Industries Inc. Announces The Sale Of One Half Its Interest In Bradley Steel To Gerdau MRM Steel Inc.

WINNIPEG, Mb--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 10, 1995--BUHLER INDUSTRIES INC. (TSE:BUI.A) Buhler Industries Inc. announces the sale of one half its interest in Bradley Steel to Gerdau MRM Steel Inc. effective November 6, 1995. The transaction included the repayment of 50 percent of the $3 million Buhler Industries Inc. shareholder loan.

Bradley Steel produces the metal I-beams used in the production of truck trailer bodies. These beams are shipped to truck trailer manufactures throughout North America. Bradley Steel projects its annual sales to be $10 million.

Gerdau MRM Steel Inc. is a primary producer of special steel products at its facilities located in Selkirk, Manitoba, including the special I-beans used in the manufacturing of crossmembers. Annual sales exceed $150 million.

Buhler Industries Inc. is a diversified multi-product manufacturing company with four plants totaling more than 10 acres, over 400 employees, a product distribution network throughout North America and annual sales of approximately $56 million. The company is a major manufacturer of a wide range of agricultural equipment marketed throughout North America under two primary brand names; "Allied" and "Farm King".

Bradley Steel will now be a joint venture between Buhler Industries Inc. and Gerdau MRM Steel Inc. The Bradley Steel operation employs over 50 people and can produce approximately 3 million I-beams annually.
