The merger is scheduled to be completed on or about Sept. 13, 1996. Peterson will be joining Applebee's International as vice president and controller in early September. Anne Huemme, chief financial officer of Longhorn, will act as CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  for the combined companies.

Peterson has a distinguished career in chain restaurant finance and systems. From 1983 to 1994, he served in various financial capacities, including vice president-information services for the General Mills Restaurant Group; senior vice president of financial operations for Red Lobster Restaurants; and vice president-controller for the Olive Garden restaurant division.

Bugaboo Creek Steak House Bugaboo Creek Steak House is an American steak house with locations in ten states. It is decorated as a hunting lodge in the Canadian Rockies and has won numerous 'Best Steak House' awards from CitySearch and AOL.  Inc. operates two restaurant concepts. Bugaboo Creek Steak House is a casual dining restaurant with a Canadian mountain lodge theme and The Capital Grille is a fine dining restaurant specializing in dry-aged steaks.
