Using Microsoft minidump technology, BugSplat can capture every application crash and automatically update the application's crash database located on the BugSplat server. Crash data analysis provides the engineering team with a clear understanding of frequency, severity, and relationships of application crashes. Reports include detailed symbolic information about the state of the application at the time of the crash including stack trace A stack trace (also called stack backtrace or stack traceback) is a report of the active stack frames instantiated by the execution of a program.

Although stack traces may be generated anywhere within a program, they are mostly used to aid debugging by showing
