Dashboards and OpenSocial Gadgets

JIRA dashboards have a new and improved look and now support OpenSocial gadgets. You can easily customise JIRA dashboards by choosing a different layout, adding gadgets, dragging and dropping them into different positions and changing the colors of individual gadgets.

An Interface for Modern Teams

JIRA's user interface has been refreshed, simplifying access to key functions. Issue actions are now available directly from the Issue Navigator, offering one-click access to common functions. Header navigation menus are keystroke-enabled and JIRA now remembers where you've been and what you've done, so your most recently used Most Recently Used (MRU) may refer to:

New Pricing Targets Small Teams

GreenHopper 4, for Agile Teams

GreenHopper adds a broad collection of agile project management capabilities to JIRA. GreenHopper simplifies the planning and organisation of sprints by providing a planning board to organise their backlog, a task board to view the current sprint and burn-down charts to track progress and assist with future estimates.

GreenHopper 4 includes a number of new features and improvements including support for kanban Meaning "visible record" in Japanese, it is a system of notification from one process to the other in a manufacturing system. Kanban cards, which may be multicolored based on priority, are stored in a bin or container that holds the items. They describe the parts, supplier and quantity. . Users can also set their context by selecting multiple filters in addition to custom criteria. The list view has been enhanced with the ability to select the fields displayed.

Introducing $10 Starter Licenses

To help small teams and companies get started, Atlassian is also launching fully functional and fully supported 10-user licenses of JIRA and Greenhopper for only $10 USD each. All proceeds from the sale of these $10 "starter" licenses will go to Room to Read to help educate children in developing nations.
