Buffets Holdings, Inc. Withdraws Registration Statement for Proposed Initial Public Offering of Income Deposit Securities and Senior Subordinated Notes.

EAGAN, Minn. -- Buffets Holdings, Inc. ("Buffets Holdings") today announced that it has filed an application with the Securities and Exchange Commission to withdraw the registration statement it filed on August 27, 2004, in connection with its proposed initial public offering of Income Deposit Securities and related public offering of senior subordinated notes, due to market conditions.

The registration statement had not yet been declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission and no securities had been offered or sold under the registration statement.
