The latest WPA enabled devices include the AirStation(tm) 54Mbps Wireless Broadband Base Station (WBR-G54) and the AirStation(tm) G54 Wireless Notebook Adapter (WLI-CB-G54A), Buffalo's new client card with an antenna interface.

Based on Broadcom's chipset, Buffalo's WPA access points and client cards are compatible with any 802.11b or draft 802.11g WLAN See wireless LAN.

WPA is the next step toward 802.11i, which is an extension to the 802.11 ESN (Electronic Serial Number) A unique identification number built into a cellphone for security purposes.  (Enhanced Security Network). Having WPA will be a requirement for Wi-Fi certification to ensure the security feature will integrate between all vendor products.
