IN L.A., inspiration strikes in all sorts of places. For caterer, sushi chef and struggling film producer Pieps LeBreton, it struck on the set of a San Fernando Valley pore shoot. "I saw all these actors eating my food, buck naked," LeBreton said. "It gave me an idea."

Thus was born Naked Catering, a fledgling enterprise that LeBreton, a Queens, N.Y. native, hopes will afford him 15-minutes of fame, as well as a decent income.

The company, whose tag line is "Food takes a sexy turn," offers party planners a full menu, with the option of servers wearing little more than body paint and gloves. "Instead of the art being on the walls, it's on the girls," LeBreton said.

In fact, Naked Catering hires both male and female servers. But while the men typically wear G-strings, the women generally just wear paint.

LeBreton, whose upcoming film is the modestly budgeted "Killer Drag Queens on Dope," launched Naked Catering last August. So far, he's done just a handful of parties, he said, with several others booked for the coming months. He says his servers earn $300 to $500 per night, plus tips.

"The purpose of this is allow me to keep doing feature films--I'm not Joel Silver yet," he said.

LeBreton takes pains to point out that the food is of high quality--and that it never comes into contact with the unclothed bodies of the servers. And touching the servers is not allowed. "I am strict about anything that has to do with health and the law," he said.

Businessman Michael Stone said he hired LeBreton to do his party after being intrigued by the newspaper ad. He's throwing a Roman-themed gathering for about 100 people where the servers will be dressed as slaves. Still, he declined to opt for full nudity. "They will be clothed, scantily clothed, but clothed," he said.
