Buerges named executive vice president and CFO of Magna Group Inc.


ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 1996--Ronald A. Buerges today was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of Magna Group, Inc., the St. Louis-based bank holding company.

Buerges had been senior vice president and acting chief financial officer.

In appointing Buerges, Magna Chairman and Chief Executive Officer G. Thomas Andes said, "Ron's performance, his keen technical ability, and his understanding of Magna's mission earned him this opportunity. We are delighted to have Ron on our executive management team."

Buerges joined Magna's financial and accounting division in 1993 after spending ten years at Ernst & Young, the public accounting firm. He was named acting CFO See Chief Financial Officer.  in December 1995. Buerges is a certified public accountant Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

He currently serves as director and treasurer of St. Louis Credit Services and director and treasurer of the St. Louis Association of Credit Management. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants With over 330,525 CPA members (in August 2006), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) is the largest professional organization of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in the United States of America.  and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.
