Budgeting 101.


After watching its first school budget in two decades defeated at the polls last year, the Union-Endicott Public Schools decided that the best way to engender en·gen·der

So the district offered a free three-session course on the elements of school budgeting earlier this year. The course attracted 75 attendees of various ages and interests, exceeding the expectations of Superintendent Dennis Sweeney Dennis Sweeney was an anti-Vietnam War protestor and civil rights activist in the 1960s. He worked with SNCC in their voter registration drives in Mississippi. During his time at Stanford University, he was the protegé of Allard Lowenstein, a political organizer who would later .
